BRICUP (aka the "Forces of Darkness") is trying to bully Elton John into pulling out of his June 17 Israel Concert.

“Israel remains the only free democratic state in the region. Israel’s gays enjoy a fuller and more open way of life than gays in surrounding states.

Nothing is perfect, there is much work to be done.
Elton – through your concert you should come ‘inside the tent’ and be a positive influence for change where its needed, in Israel as well as in other states around the world

It is easier to stand outside and join the rabble campaigning for the isolationism that fosters misunderstanding, fear and hatred (who has real experience of that … Gays and Jews!)

It is harder to make a stand, come inside and contribute much needed support, in this case to the Israeli elements working for progress and a better life for Palestinians and Israelis.

Make a stand, Elton. Make the case for progress and a higher quality of life in the region. Make your music, in Tel Aviv.”
