However, I think that it was disgusting that you were barred. It is certainly worthy of further complaint to The Law Society.

But on what basis were you excluded? Were you carrying an Israeli flag? Do you look too Jewish? Were they worried that you might expose the malicious lies underlying their phony legal procedures?

The reason given was that I would 'disrupt the meeting'.

The subtext was that they knew there would be lies about Israel spoken and antisemitism spoken, and they knew I would speak out and not wait meekly and deferentially on the offchance of being called to ask a question in the Q+A (being told 'ask a question, not make a statement').

One of the speakers was Ewa Jasiewicz who has defended people who daub anti-Israel slogans on the walls of the Warsaw Ghetto.

It wasn't at the Law Society, it was at Amnesty International (the main sessions on 20-21st are at the LS).

The same Amnesty International that claims to be a safe space for the expression of differing opinions....

Let's hope that Richard Millett will be able to give those clowns some sort of run for their oil money. But it is a pity that he can't cross-examine the pathetic bunch that are on the panel.

The fact that this charade is taking place at The Law Society is truly Orwellian. Their determination to give their propaganda some quasi UK legal respectability would be quite laughable if it wasn't so sinister. It is without doubt one of the lowest depths that The Law Society has ever sunk to, and any solicitor with a centimetre of moral fibre, must be squirming with the indignity of being connected to it. For once, I actually feel sorry for them.

I managed to make it in [not quite as high profile as you ] where I joined Richard . The thing that struck me from the outset was that the focus of the meeting was not about conflict resolution -not that I really expected it to be - but literally about the minutae of their campaign to delegitimise Israel through every means available including legal challenge .It reminded me of the Kenneth Branagh drama on BBC about the planning and detail which went into the Holocaust which tok place at Wanasee.

This was about the strategy ,planning and detail required for the dismantlement of Israel .

Loach expressed his contempt and opposition to the fact that Israel has the temerity of identifying itself as a Jewish state which he considers to be rascist .He was evasive when asked by myself whether he was as vociferous in his objection to the 57 or so Muslim states .

The rest of it was a kangaroo court and you could literally feel the visceral hatred of Israel in the audience .

As you say Bertrand Russell would indeed be turning in his grave at the travesty that has become this so called Tribunal which bears his name .

So far their attitude is "this is purely a market transaction and the content of this meeting is nothing to do with us"

I have written to Amnesty to ask why they give a platform to a desecrater of Jewish cemeteries. Ewa Jasciewicz desecrated the Warsaw Ghetto memorial with graffiti against Israel. That Amnesty invites such an antisemite is outrageous.

I ask others to write as well.
