Only problem with this is that, however repugnant the EDL may be, does the BBC really think that protesting about something makes it worse?
Does protesting about anti-Semitism make more recruits for anti-Semitic groups?
If protesting extremism increases it, then why protest about anything?
The answer maybe 'how' those protests are made and the true motivation behind them.
But I have a sneaking suspicion that Islamist extremists don't rely on the EDL for their recruitment drives. It's actually quite the reverse.

It's not the demos themselves, it's the way the BNP/EDL conducts itself. All the BNP/EDL is trying to achieve is to get a few communal useful idiots on its side. Not very deep down though they are still Holocaust denying Nazis who believe the Jooz control the media, the banks, Hollywood etc.
