Only a Haaretz journalist and anti-peace antisemites can be stupid enough to think Egypt was ever a friend of Israel.
Egypt made peace with Israel is a correct statement, though.

It does not look good for Israel now. The border will soon be opened to Gaza from Egypt and the apartheid country will soon have no allies remaining

By the way, simonsam, where is your condemnation of Mubarak's regime for 'genociding' his own people?
Be careful: double standards would be evidents if you did not do that soon! And double standards are a sure sign of antisemitism.

To which of the many apartheid country in the area do you refer? Lebanon? Syria? Jordan? Saudi Arabia? Iran? Iraq? Turkey? Egypt? Yemen?
It would be clearer if you specified the one you're talking about, simone!

Do you know the French proverb: "Il vaut mieux être seul que mal accompagné." ("Better alone than in bad company")?

That reminds me of the old Cornish proverb "Better to be in bad company than to cease to exist."

I would have typed that in my native Cornish but I'm afraid it's a little bit rusty.

Don't you have any Spanish proverbs for us, Posner?

Posner, why do you keep reposting your Egypt blog? Do you have a computer glitch?

See how some pseudos are re-activated when others were banned?
Hummmm... I wonder what that means.
If I was a moderator, I would examine the IP addresses of some posters.

They are all inbred sheepshaggers in Cornwall - hardly a big surprise that you are from there.

Did I say Cornish? I meant my other native tongue, German.

Your parents flew Germany in 1945? Why am I not surprised?
