Are "Bros", and The Hackneyed Sister, Israel's friends?

Interesting to note that none of Israel's "friends" blame Hamas. Let's hope that Hamas soon takes over Kensington and Chelsea council and starts lobbing a few missiles onto Islington and Westminster.

What will Diane Abbott then say? Or will they put her in a burqua? And will she still be allowed, so fetchingly attired, late at night, on the couch next to the suave Michael?...

"Oh yes Diane. You look lovely in black. It really suits you."

I attach the following, just in case anybody wants to blog a comment....

"Labour leader candidates debate Israel" By Jessica Elgot, June 14, 2010

The five candidates in the Labour leadership race have set out their views on Israel and Palestine in front of a packed audience at Stratford Town Hall.
Speaking at the Labour leadership hustings for young Labour Party members, the candidates responded to a question from the audience: “What is your stance on Israel?”
Former Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband called himself a “critical friend of Israel” and spoke of the need to be tough on the Israeli government, calling for an end to the Gaza blockade.
His brother, the former Foreign Secretary David Miliband, also called himself “Israel’s friend,” but said: “We must remember that Israel is a democratic sovereign state but it’s a country whose actions are threatening its neighbours but also its own long-term future.
“It is critical that the international community engages in the conflict. Gaza is a running sore in the region, which it is currently impossible to try and heal.”
Ed Balls spoke about a visit to Gaza and commented on how many children live in the area, and the fact that half the population in Gaza is under 16. He said he was keen to see a peaceful future for the children of the region but said: “Israel has to have the confidence to take down the walls and the barricades.”
Andy Burnham, the former Health Secretary said: “I consider myself a friend of Israel but the current government is making that very, very hard.”
He spoke strongly of the need to define Britain as separate to the US, and not blindly to follow America’s support for the Jewish state. He added that it was “time for Britain to speak up” to end the Gaza blockade.
Hackney MP Diane Abbott, who has often criticised Israel during her time in parliament, called the Gaza blockade “collective punishment for voting for Hamas”.
She added: “This Israeli government has to be made to understand that there is only one solution — and that is a two state solution.”

Does anybody know why half the population in Gaza is under 16yrs? I presume that sex might have something to do with it, but are they fucking to change the demographics?

And if your children are starving and have no medication, is it really sensible to have a whole bunch more?

You have to wonder what the hell is going on in Gaza half the time.

Tom meisner,

I note that you are hyper-critical of white English working class women. You frequently disparage them. Of course, you are a cultivated middle-class person. And, of course, they don't ascribe to your PC Islamist views. They have far too much sense.

Am I now to conclude that... "you really love the English don't you Tom?"

Of course, you fail to answer the questions that I raise.

Israel is terrified of the rising Palestinian population.Olmert a few years ago stated that he was most concerned at the prospect of "more of them" Well it's happening now and Israel can do nothing about it. I seem to meet Israelis all the time here in London who have left the place for good.

don't be paranoid bd, there's no fiendish plot
the more prosperous a population, the lower the birthrate

the gazans were for many years under occupation, in a restricted economy, and now are under an incompetent hamas government, in a siege economy, and so an unusually high birthrate is to expected

Tom,

You write: "I seem to meet Israelis all the time here in London who have left the place for good."

But are you aware that The UK is heading towards bankruptcy. Apparently, inter alia, there far are too many classical orchestras that are sponsored bt the tax-payer. Quite literally, classical music is leading to financial melt-down.

Israel, on the other hand, seems to be doing quite nicely. Perhaps it is due to the fact that you aren't playing there.
