Another year - more deaths.

Just a few days into the New Year and already two unarmed Palestinians have been killed by the occupying Israeli army in the West Bank. In December alone, 12 Palestinians were killed in the besieged Gaza enclave by Israeli missile attacks.

Jawahar Abu Rahma died as a result of inhaling tear gas. She was 36. Twenty months ago her brother, Bassem, was killed by a high velocity tear gas projectile fired by an Israeli soldier. Both Jawahar and Bassem were in the area of the weekly non violent protests against the Israeli wall that divides, steals and decimates communities in the occupied West Bank.
Michael Sfard, the lawyer representing the woman’s family, said that soldiers used ‘incredible quantities of gas’
Witnesses have stated that Ms Abu Rahma was some way from the protest at the time.

In a separate incident, Ahmed Muslamani was shot in the chest and legs until dead. He was 24.
He approached an Israeli occupation checkpoint in the West Bank and was shot. A spokeswoman for the army said that ‘the soldiers apparently felt threatened’. Ahmed was unarmed.
This is how cheap and inconsequential life is for Palestinians. A woman dies after ‘incredible quantities of gas’ is used against unarmed civilians who were protesting against an illegal wall.
A second, unarmed man, is shot multiple times because heavily armed and supported soldiers ‘felt threatened’.
That’s it. Two more dead Palestinians. Two more unarmed, occupied civilians killed by an occupying army.

News, I think the Abu Rahma death is not what has been claimed. It would be good to see an independent report on this.
The killers of Muslamani will be prosecuted if the killing is seen to be unlawful.
Perhaps if the Palestinians took more care about their civilians, this sort of tragedy would not happen.

These attacks constitute the real terror, and this is just for December.

December 6;
a Qassam rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed near Ashkelon.
December 7;
Two mortar shells fired from the Gaza Strip exploded in the Eshkol Region.
December 8;
mortar shell fired from the Gaza Strip landed in the Shaar Hanegev Region. Around 11 pm, Palestinians fired five more mortar shells from the northern Gaza Strip into the Eshkol Region.
December 11;
Palestinians fired a Qassam rocket from the Gaza Strip near a kibbutz in the Sha'ar Hanegev Region.
December 18;
five militants from Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance Committees were killed by an Israeli airstrike as they were preparing to fire rockets into Israel.
December 19;
Palestinians fired two mortar shells from the Gaza Strip into the Eshkol Region. In the evening, Palestinians fired two additional mortar shells from the Gaza Strip into the Ashkelon Coast Region.
December 20;
In the afternoon, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip fired seven mortar shells into the Eshkol Region.
Several hours later, Palestinians fired two or three additional mortar shells at open areas in unspecified regions in Israel.
December 21;
At about 8 am, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip fired a Qassam rocket at Kibbutz Zikim in the Ashkelon Coast Region. The projectile exploded several yards from a kindergarten as parents were bringing their children to it. 14-year-old girl in a nearby building was moderately injured in the leg by flying glass. Several other people suffered from shock. A staff member said the children would not be evacuated because the kindergarten was inside a bomb shelter to begin with.
December 24;
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip fired a mortar shell in the Eshkol Region. In the early evening, Palestinians fired a Qassam rocket that landed in the Ashkelon Coast Region.
December 26;
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip fired two rockets at the Eshkol Region.
December 30;
a Qassam rocket fired by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip hit the Eshkol Regional Council.

Hamas continued throughout 2010 to stockpile missiles supplied by Iran.

Poor Mr Hoffman has been pillocked again. Inconveniently for him the facts which have emerged show that the woman died of gas inhalation leading to a heart attack. Haaretz and Ynet both agree on this and the sites which were pushing the IDF version have all gone quiet.
Jon's list would be a good deal longer if he listed the dead children and civilians in the Gaza onslaught
But on a lighter note. Has anyone ever seen Jonathan in the same room at the same time. They seem to draw on the

Well, who wanted to have the Gaza war have to pay for the expenses. One certainly do not make war without some killing.
Remember that 700 terrorists were eliminated and sent to their paradise, with the 72 virgins. We hope they will like it here.
Because no one ever came back to testify it was nice. No one ever complained either, but that is also the case with bad parachutes.

Exactly so.
but as for "the dead children and civilians in the Gaza onslaught", no doubt there were some civilian casualties, but now the Hamas "government" Interior Minister Fathi Hamad, confirmed Monday for the first time that the Hamas in Gaza lost 700 fighters in Cast Lead, 250 in the first day alone.
So, blows the spurious "casualty" numbers previously dreamt up by the Israel bashers.

Goldstone heavily relied on a NGO 'human rights' organisation called PCHR for the civilian casualties figures. The PCHR figures stated an outrageous 85% of civilian casualties.

Yet these lies, repeated in the Goldstone report, were not corrected. None of the liars made any kind of apology for their blattant lies.

Did you hear about Charles Enderlin apologising either for the Al Durah hoax? More than ten years, now.

No one at all when it is used as in Bilin, in an open area. This crap is pure blood libel.

Her mother said she and her daughter, Jawaher Abu Rahmah, were watching the protest from a distance when a cloud of tear gas wafted their way, causing her daughter to collapse.

So her mother breathed the same cloud of gas and didn't have any trouble. Isn't that a strange gas? Kills one 36 year old and leaves alive an at least 54 year old.

We should call for a UN investigation of that case and ask for an independant autopsy of the corpse.

During training every soldier in the IDF gets put in a room, exposed to tear gas and has to take off their gas mask. It's not fun or nice, but it's not lethal.

And as Jose says, Bilin was an open area and it was windy on 31 December ...

Weizman Institute is so advanced... I remember that some years ago, the Arab propaganda spread the word that they were working on a genetic biological weapon that would kill Arabs but not Jews. The gullibles of JfJfP should recycle that one for the Bilin case.
